About This Role
I-Swipe Tech ICT Academy is seeking an experienced and passionate Backend Development Tutor to train students in Node.js and TypeScript for a 2-month intensive learning programme.
The tutor will be responsible for delivering practical, project-based lessons that equip students with the skills to build, test, and deploy backend applications. The ideal candidate should be able to simplify complex technical concepts, provide hands-on guidance, and mentor students through real-world backend projects.
Requirements
*Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript.
*Good understanding of backend development and RESTful API development.
*Experience with databases such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
*Familiarity with Git and GitHub.
*Understanding of authentication, authorization, API security, and backend best practices.
*Experience building or working on real-world backend applications.
*Previous experience teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or training students is an advantage.
*Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to beginners and intermediate learners.
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
*Ability to create practical exercises, assignments, and projects.
*Ability to assess students' work and provide constructive feedback.
*Ability to commit to the full 2-month training period.
A degree, certification, or professional training in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is an advantage but not mandatory where relevant practical experience can be demonstrated.
